pointed arched window

The Silent Observer

Greetings, I am a pointed arched window with a vase of flowers on my windowsill. I have been a silent witness to many moments in this old building, and I have come to realise the significance of windows like myself.

Windows are not just openings in the walls, but they are portals to the world outside. They allow light to enter, air to circulate, and offer a view of the world beyond. They serve as a bridge between the interior and exterior, connecting us with nature and the world around us.

For those inside, windows can offer a sense of escape from the daily routine, a glimpse into the unknown, and a source of inspiration. They can bring joy and beauty to the space with the warmth of the sun and the colours of the changing seasons.

For those outside, windows can offer a glimpse into the lives of others, a reflection of the society, and a symbol of the architecture of the times. Windows are a silent observer of the world and a window into the soul of a building.
