Fascinated by the long-horned cattle of the Preseli Hills

Early Morning Magic
Tap to view my redbubble gallery.Fascinated by the long-horned cattle of the Preseli Hills?
Come and see them for yourself!
As I trudged up the hill, still half asleep and bleary-eyed, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement. I was on my way to see the famous long-horned cattle of the Preseli Hills, a range of hills in Pembrokeshire, Wales that is rich in history and natural beauty.
As I reached the top of the hill, the first thing that struck me was the sound of the cattle lowing. It was a strange and otherworldly sound, and it made me feel as if I was in a totally different time and place. The Preseli Hills have a long history dating back to the Neolithic period, and I couldn’t help but imagine the ancient peoples who once called this place home.
As I approached the herd, I was struck by the sheer size of these animals. Their horns were longer than my arms, and they curved gracefully out to the sides. These long horns were truly impressive, and I couldn’t help but admire the beauty and majesty of these creatures.
Despite the chilly morning air, I couldn’t help but smile as I watched the cattle. They were so serene and peaceful, and they seemed completely oblivious to my presence. They made me feel like I was the only person in the world, and it was a truly magical experience.
As the sun began to rise, my new bovine friends slowly made their way down the hill, and I knew it was time for me to head home. But I left the Preseli Hills with a sense of wonder and amazement, and I knew that I would never forget my early morning walk with the long-horned cattle in this historic and beautiful part of Wales.

Finding Joy in the Simple Things: A Snow-Covered Valley

Snowy Charm There’s something undeniably magical about a snow-covered valley. The way the powdery white blanket coats the landscape, transforming it into a winter wonderland, is a sight to behold.
As I stand on the edge of the valley, I can’t help but be in awe of the beauty that surrounds me. The trees are heavy with snow, their branches bent low under the weight. The ground is a pure, untouched white, and the air is crisp and clean.
I take a deep breath, filling my lungs with the fresh, icy air. It’s a bit chilly, but I don’t mind. The cold never bothered me much, and besides, the beauty of this place is well worth braving a little bit of frost.
I set off down the path, crunching through the snow with each step. The valley stretches out before me, a vast expanse of white. It’s peaceful here, with only the sound of the crunching snow beneath my feet and the occasional chirp of a bird breaking the silence.
As I make my way deeper into the valley, I begin to see the tracks of other animals. There are rabbits and squirrels, their prints crisscrossing the snow. I even spot a set of deer tracks, leading off into the trees.
Despite the cold, I feel a warmth in my chest as I take in the beauty of this place. It’s a reminder of the simple joys in life, of the beauty that can be found in the most unexpected places.
As the sun begins to set and the sky turns a deep shade of pink and orange, I turn to head back. But I know that this is a place I’ll return to again and again, to bask in the peace and beauty of a snow-covered valley

The Sound of Life

Cascading Beauty Oh Waterfall, with your cascading flow
From the mountain high, down to the valley below
You sing a song of life, as you gush

Their delicate fronds, a dance in the breeze
A natural wonder, a living tapestry
A sight to behold, a treasure to pursue

A natural air conditioner, on a hot summer’s day
A cool embrace, a welcome retreat
From the heat of the sun, a comforting presence

A Field of Dreams

Golden Horizons As I wander through the field of golden corn, the sun is high in the sky, casting a warm glow over everything. The air is filled with the sweet smell of the ripening crops, and the rustling of the stalks in the breeze is like a gentle lullaby.
I tilt my head back and gaze up at the blue sky, dotted with fluffy white clouds that seem to stretch on forever. The clouds are so white and pure, they almost seem to glow against the deep blue of the sky.
I close my eyes and breathe in deeply, taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the field. It’s hard to believe that such a serene place exists in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the modern world.
I wander through the rows of corn, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. The rustling of the stalks and the chirping of the birds overhead create a symphony of nature that is both soothing and energizing.
As I continue on my journey, I can’t help but feel grateful for this moment of peace and beauty. It’s moments like these that make life worth living, and I am grateful to be able to experience them.
As the sun begins to set, casting a golden light over the field, I know it’s time to head back home. But the memory of this dreamy field of golden corn and a blue sky with white clouds will stay with me forever.

The “Keep Out” Shed: An Enigma Wrapped in Rust.

Rusty Secrets There’s something funny about a rusty old shed with “keep out” painted on it. It’s like it’s trying to keep all the good stuff in, and us poor saps out. As I stand here looking at it, I can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.
The shed is located at the back of the property, almost hidden from view behind a dense thicket of bushes. It’s clear that no one has been here in a long time, judging by the thick layer of cobwebs covering the door and windows. The paint on the “keep out” sign is chipped and faded, but the words are still legible.
I can’t help but chuckle at the thought of what might be inside. Is it just an old shed filled with forgotten tools and junk, or is there something even more ridiculous hiding within its walls? My dark sense of humour starts to kick in as I try to come up with possible explanations for the “keep out” sign. Maybe it’s a warning to stay away from something totally ridiculous, like a collection of old banana peels or a life-sized Barbie doll. Or perhaps there’s something valuable inside, like a lifetime supply of toilet paper or a one-way ticket to Mars.
As I stand here laughing at the absurdity of it all, I hear a rustling in the bushes behind me. I turn around, expecting to see a small animal, but there’s nothing there. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up as I realize that I’m not alone.
I decide that it’s probably best to leave the shed alone and respect the “keep out” sign. I may never know what’s inside, but some mysteries are best left unsolved. As I walk away, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m being watched, and I can’t help but wonder if the old shed has its own sense of dark humour to keep to itself.
